Introduction:
5-Star Community Staffing is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators for temporary and gig-based assignments. This role is essential for operating heavy machinery in construction, excavation, land development, and industrial projects.
Job Overview:
Heavy Equipment Operators are responsible for operating, inspecting, and maintaining various types of heavy machinery, such as excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, loaders, and cranes, to complete projects efficiently and safely. Operators must follow strict safety guidelines and site-specific regulations to ensure the safe handling of equipment.
Responsibilities:
Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, dump trucks, cranes, and other heavy machinery.
Perform pre-operation and post-operation equipment inspections.
Ensure safe material handling, excavation, and transportation.
Communicate with site supervisors, ground crews, and other workers to coordinate operations.
Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment.
Adhere to OSHA and DOT safety standards for construction and heavy equipment use.
Work Environment:
Heavy Equipment Operators work in construction sites, industrial zones, excavation areas, and infrastructure projects. Work may involve exposure to dust, noise, extreme weather conditions, and heavy lifting.
Schedule and Hours:
Temporary and gig-based assignments with flexible hours.
May require overtime, weekend, and emergency shifts.
