This role is critical for transporting hazardous materials, heavy loads, and general freight safely and efficiently while ensuring strict compliance with DOT and OSHA safety regulations.
Job Overview:
The CDL Truck Driver (Hazmat Certified) is responsible for hauling hazardous materials, chemicals, and other regulated substances, ensuring proper handling, documentation, and transport safety. Drivers must also operate standard freight vehicles, perform pre-trip inspections, and adhere to all state and federal transport laws.
Responsibilities:
Operate hazmat transport trucks, tankers, dump trucks, and tractor trailers.
Safely load, transport, and unload hazardous materials and general freight.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and OSHA regulations.
Secure cargo and hazardous materials according to HAZMAT handling standards.
Maintain accurate transport logs, manifests, and documentation.
Respond appropriately to hazmat spills, leaks, and emergency situations.
Work Environment:
Hazmat CDL Drivers work in industrial, highway, and remote settings, often dealing with chemical transport, construction materials, or fuel deliveries. The job may require long hours, night shifts, and emergency response readiness.
Schedule and Hours:
Temporary and gig-based roles with flexible schedules.
May require overtime, weekend shifts, and emergency response availability.

Tanker Endorsement (N Endorsement) (Preferred for liquid transport).
TWIC Card (Preferred for port and secure facility access).
DOT Medical Card (Required for all commercial drivers).
OSHA-10 or OSHA-30 Certification (Preferred for industrial transport).
Tools and Equipment Provided:
Trucks, spill containment kits, and safety gear provided.
Drivers must bring their own steel-toe boots, gloves, and high-visibility PPE.
Safety and Compliance:
Strict adherence to DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA hazmat regulations.
Participation in mandatory hazmat safety training and emergency response drills.
Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), respirators, and spill containment materials.
