5-Star Community Staffing is hiring Arborists (Tree Climber & Maintenance Specialists) for temporary and gig-based assignments. This role is ideal for experienced tree climbers who specialize in tree trimming, pruning, removal, and maintenance in residential, commercial, and municipal settings.

Job Overview:
The Arborist (Tree Climber & Maintenance Specialist) is responsible for climbing, trimming, and removing trees using specialized climbing gear and cutting tools. This position requires knowledge of tree health, safe cutting techniques, and rigging methods to protect both the environment and surrounding structures.

Responsibilities:
Climb trees using ropes, harnesses, and climbing spikes to perform pruning and trimming.

Remove dead, damaged, or hazardous branches and trees safely.

Operate and maintain chainsaws, pole saws, and other cutting equipment.

Use rigging techniques to lower cut limbs safely in confined spaces.

Inspect trees for diseases, pest infestations, and structural weaknesses.

Work with ground crews to clean up debris and maintain site safety.

Adhere to OSHA safety guidelines and tree care industry standards.

Work Environment:
Arborists work outdoors in various weather conditions, often at heights exceeding 50-100 feet. The role requires physical endurance, climbing ability, and precision cutting skills.

Schedule and Hours:
Temporary and gig-based roles with flexible scheduling.

May require weekend, emergency storm cleanup, or overnight shifts.
